CLARE DUNN

From a farm and cattle ranch in Southeast Colorado near the Oklahoma
Panhandle, Clare Dunn’s music is inspired by the rugged country and agriculture way of
life she comes from. Working cattle, hauling water, driving combines, tractors and
eighteen wheelers from a young age all were a part of everyday life.
Driving 45 miles to high school each day, Clare achieved All-State basketball and
volleyball recognition in high school. After graduating in a class of eight, Clare's chance
to fully pursue her dream came with college. After a brief college stint in Texas, and with
a very supportive family, she relocated to Nashville to attend Belmont University. She
paid her way through Belmont by driving a silage truck for harvest through Oklahoma,
Kansas and Nebraska during every academic break she could. During this time she also
picked up a guitar for the first time determined to master both acoustic and electric
guitars.
After graduating from Belmont with honors, Clare signed her first publishing deal as a
songwriter. In 2014, she signed with Universal Music Group Nashville and released
“Move On,” “Tuxedo” and “More,” which all charted on Billboard’s Top Country Songs.
She toured the States, opening for Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert,
Hank Williams Jr., Luke Bryan, and Bob Seger, who after seeing her at one sound check,
asked her to join him on the “Ride Out” Tour, where she played arenas across the nation
and received standing ovations every night at the close of her set.
Clare has forged relationships and written with some of the most highly regarded
songwriters in Nashville and Los Angeles, including Hillary Lindsey, David Hodges, Troy
Verges, Busbee, Liz Rose, Angelo, Terry McBride, Brice Long, Will Hoge, Chris Lindsey,
Dylan Altman, Marshall Altman, and many more.
Sidelined after signing her record deal, only to be shelved and silenced, she’s finally free
and back on the trail towards playing those same arenas again.
Bringing that same rugged heritage into every aspect of her craft as a singer,
songwriter, producer, guitar player, and entertainer, Clare’s latest release, the
smoldering and fiery “Colorado” that dropped on May 26, 2023, is her second self-
penned and self-produced single since taking the reins back of her creative control and
becoming an Independent Artist. “Colorado” follows “Legends,” a poignant, storytelling
rocker with themes of courage, ambition and determination, which came out in early
March.
Furthermore, Clare recently appeared on Women Who Rock VOX (Amps): Celebrating
Womens History Month with Artist, Clare Dunn, graced the cover of Guitar Thrills
Magazine, and talked with Suzanne Alexander of RFD-TV about her latest music.
“Colorado” now on all platforms and follow her on TikTok and Instagram and
@claredunnmusic for the latest updates on touring and music releases.
