TITUS COUNTY FAIR Market LAMB SHOW 2025

ENTRIES: Entry fees are $25 each.  Entry forms and fees are due June 14, 2025 at 8AM at the Titus County Fair Livestock Pavilion.  Animals must be presented for Tag In at this time.  Late entries must be submitted to the superintendent or livestock directors by Sunday, June 15.  An additional $25 late fee will be charged for late entries

Move In: Tuesday, Sept 23 - Wednesday, Sept 24.  Must be in place by 7:30 AM Sept 24

Show: Friday, Sept 26, 3:00 PM

RULES

  1. Ewe or wether lambs may be exhibited.

 

  1. Dorper, Southdown, and Medium Wool breeds are offered.  At Tag In, each exhibitor will declare the breed of their lamb on an additional form.  The exhibitor’s FFA advisor or 4H leader will sign the declaration, certifying the breed of each lamb.  Breed standards will follow the Texas A&M Agriflife guidelines used at Texas Majors shows.  The guidelines may be found at this link.

  1.  Lambs must be under the exhibitor’s control at all times.  Assistants are not allowed in the show ring, unless an exemption has been granted by the Livestock committee (example- special needs students requires assistant from another student) 

 

  1. Lambs will be divided into weight classes for the show. Classes will be determined by the show superintendent and livestock committee chairmen. Weigh in will be Wednesday, Sept 24, at 4:00 PM.

 

  1. Stall spaces will be assigned by the livestock committee prior to arrival. 

 

  1. All lambs will be uniformly shorn to the knees and hocks for the show. Boots and wool caps are allowed.  No wool over 1/4 of an inch will be allowed, exhibitor will be allowed to correct it before the show or will be subject to disqualification. 

 

  1. If animals are given back to the exhibitor in the auction, that exhibitor is responsible for the removal of that animal from the fairgrounds after the auction. 

 

  1. Exhibitor must follow the Titus County Fair Junior Market Show general rules. 

 

  1. The judge will select the sale order, following the General Livestock Rules.

 

  1. The judge’s decision is final.
