Entry: Entry fees are $10 per exhibitor and are due to the Titis County Fair Office by 4:00 PM Sept 1, 2025.

Arrival: Calves must be on the grounds by 6:00 PM, Wednesday Sept 24

Show: Titus County Fair Livestock Pavilion, Wednesday, Sept 24 7:00 PM

 

Entry Form


Purposes:
A.  To design a developmentally appropriate beef/dairy project to fit the physical and maturity level of young children ages 5-7.

B.  To introduce children to the health, nutrition, and environmental needs of bucket bottle calves. 

C.  To nurture children's understanding of the beef/dairy industry. 

Rules:
1.  This class Project is open to all Titus County resident children, ages 5-7.

2.  Calves must be purchased and in possession of the child within two weeks of birth.  Any breed or gender calf is acceptable.

3.  Calves must be bucket or bottle fed; no nursing permitted.

4.  An exhibitor is limited to a maximum of one calf exhibited at the fair. 

5. Exhibitors may be assisted by another Titus County Fair exhibitor.  No parents or adults will be allowed to assist in the show ring.

6.  All calves will be shown on halter and should be clean and groomed. 

7.  Calf must be 250 lbs or less at fair date. 

8.  Children will be asked questions about their calf to rank their showmanship. 

 

Peewee Lamb and Goat Showmanship
Immediately after the bottle calf show, there will be peewee lamb and goat showmanship.  Any child under the age of 8 and no older than second grade is eligible to participate.  Lambs and goats must be entered in the Titus County Fair.  Children participating in the peewee showmanship will borrow an animal from an exhibitor entered in the Titus County Fair.  Peewee exhibitors may be assisted by another Titus County Fair Exhibitor.  No adults are allowed to assist in the show ring.  Prizes will be given to Peewee exhibitors.
