The Powell Brothers

The Powell Brothers

The Powell Brothers is a Country/Americana recording artist from Houston, Texas.

Fronted by brothers Taylor Powell (lead vocals) and Blake Powell (lead guitar), the

band is currently promoting their latest release ‘Introducing…The Powell

Brothers.’ The EP was co-produced by Taylor Powell, Blake Powell, and Dusty

Saxton (drummer for Granger Smith) and features five richly constructed, original

tracks. The result: a unique and innovative blend of Americana, blues, jazz, and

rock coupled with thought-provoking lyrics, captivating melodies and superb

artistry that has garnered a diverse and expansive following.

“It all boils down to this,” explains Taylor, “good songs and good people. We are

committed to the craft of songwriting. Our goal is to make every song and CD

better than the last, and to surround ourselves with the best people.” Blake

echoes his brother’s thoughts and adds, “As we grow, we want to make sure we

deliver music and performances worthy of the love and support we are so blessed

to receive."

2016 was a breakout year for The Powell Brothers. The band earned coveted slots

on the lineups of major music festivals, became a regular performer at the

legendary Gruene Hall, saw its very first radio single (“Four Wheel Hotel”) crack

the Top 40, and realized explosive growth across all its social media platforms.

As evidenced by their busy tour schedule, Blake and Taylor have a strong passion

for performing live. The group has played with numerous top national and

regional acts, including Willie Nelson, Josh Turner, Gary Allen, Granger Smith,

Randy Rogers Band, Cody Johnson, Kevin Fowler, and many more. This year, the

band plans to tour extensively across the country. In their home state, The Powell

Brothers perform regularly at many prestigious live music venues including John

T. Floore Country Store, Concrete Street Amphitheater, House of Blues Houston,

The Blue Light Live, Luckenbach Texas, and Redneck Country Club.
